About us

At Somnispace Psychology, we provide evidence-based psychological care for adults and adolescents experiencing challenges such as anxiety, stress, sleep difficulties, trauma-related concerns, and mood disturbances. Our practice integrates nervous-system-informed approaches with both traditional and contemporary therapies.

Led by psychologist and meditation teacher Cassandra Carlopio, Somnispace Psychology draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic approaches, and mindfulness-based techniques. These methods are tailored to support each client’s individual needs and circumstances.

Sessions are delivered via secure telehealth (Zoom), making it possible to access psychological support from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in Australia.

At Somnispace Psychology, our focus is on creating a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, build effective coping strategies, and work towards improved wellbeing.

Services

Individual Psychology Sessions
Work one-on-one with Cassandra using evidence-based techniques to address the root cause of your current psychological and stress-related challenges. These sessions generally qualify for the medicare rebate under a Mental Health Care Plan*.


Coaching Sessions

Coaching with Cassandra is available for those who want to address a specific issue or improve performance, working with a nervous system lens. These sessions are open to international clients too.

What We Stand For

At Somnispace Psychology, we believe quality rest is a foundation for life and wellbeing—not a luxury. We’re here to help you reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms, unwind patterns of stress, and restore deep, nourishing sleep. Grounded in compassion, science, trauma-informed tools and nervous system wisdom, we support lasting change from the inside out.

We value a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to health and wellbeing. When appropriate, we refer to and consult with other practitioners to ensure holistic care. We also actively participate in—and contribute to—ongoing professional development alongside other allied health professionals.

We also believe that quality care should be accessible to everyone. To support this, one session per week is reserved for a concession client at a reduced fee.

Frequently asked questions

  • To access Medicare rebates, you’ll need a referral from your GP. Please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss whether you’re eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. If approved, your GP will provide you with both the plan and a referral letter. Please email this to us prior to your first session at info@cassandracarlopio.com

  • Sessions are $250 AUD per session without the medicare rebate.

    With the Mental Health Care Plan, the rebate is $96.65, so the total fee per session is $153.35.

    If you are struggling financially, please reach out as there is one concession session offered each week.

  • Yes - please reach out to your private health insurance fund to determine the amount they cover.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon.

  • The amount of sessions someone needs varies significantly person to person. Some people will only need one or two sessions, however most people will use anywhere between 6 and 10 sessions.

  • Currently, all sessions are tele-health and conducted over zoom, in the comfort of your own space. Once you have booked in your session, you will receive an email with all the information required.
